Hi! Title contains the question. I’m quite new to docker and web apps in general but have seen a few examples of people running a separate docker container for queuing tasks and other containers for processing the task. At the moment I don’t require more than one worker, just a queue to hold the tasks for asynchronous completion so it doesn’t clog up the Flask front-end. There may be a possibility of having multiple workers complete the same task for comparison in the future though. What are the pros/cons of using a separate queue container VS just running the queue in the same container as the process? What does it allow me to do/stop me from doing. submitted by /u/Edenio1 [link] [comments]
