Hello guys, I built my own VPN container using Ubuntu and Nordvpn, it is up and running. I want to run several applications using this container so all traffic go through the VPN (with–net=container:myvpncontainer) but I can’t make it work. Here is how I run my VPN container with the port mapping for my application : docker run -td –name vpn -p 9091:9091 -p 51413:51413 -p 51413:51413/udp –cap-add=NET_ADMIN –cap-add=SYS_MODULE –device /dev/net/tun –restart unless-stopped vpn_custom Now my Transmission container (from docker hub) : docker run -td –name=transmission -e PUID=1000 -e PGID=1000 -e TZ=TZ=America/New_York -v /home/ludw/transmission/config:/config -v /home/ludw/transmission/downloads:/downloads -v /home/ludw/transmission/watch:/watch –net=container:vpn –restart unless-stopped linuxserver/transmission I first did the error of mapping my ports on my app container instead of the VPN container itself so I got conflict error. Now both container are running but when I try to access transmission WebUI on port 9091 it times out. I am new to docker and I don’t know docker compose yet. Any suggestion ? Thank you 🙂 submitted by /u/Ludww [link] [comments]
