I have read several posts and still can not get it to work. What I am now doing that will work and I can see the configmap change- 1 – Edit the config map that I am using : kubectl edit configmap basic-config 2 – Delete the deployment : kubectl delete deployment basic-deployment 3 – Recreate the deployment : kubectl create -f nginx-deployment.yaml From what I have read I thought I could replace the deployment or perform an apply but this does not seem to pick up the changes in the configmap. After I made changes with : kubectl edit configmap basic-config I tried – kubectl apply -f nginx-deployment.yaml and also – kubectl replace -f nginx-deployment.yaml I did not see the updated config map values after running those commands. Any suggestions on how to apply live changes in the configmap? submitted by /u/ernievd [link] [comments]
