I’m working on a project where Jenkins will run Terraform to stand up Azure resources(container registry, k8s etc), then Docker builds images locally with the final step having these images deployed as containers within the cluster. I initially was using the Terraform provider for provisioning the resources within Kubernetes so authentication was done by retrieving the kube_config output. Unfortunately this solution requires two Terraform apply scripts to be executed through Jenkins. My team would prefer to use YAML files for configuring the resources within Kubernetes, as it would be much quicker when migrating from the Openshift based application, but I am not sure how I would get authentication during the pipeline to use kubectl apply -f commands. What suggestions would you guys have for this type of environment? submitted by /u/xJoe16 [link] [comments]

Any tips/tricks for dockerizing SQL server databases that change frequently?

Sun Aug 2 , 2020
Spread the love          Hi all, I have multiple SQL server databases, and the data there change frequently. I have to connect to them from my local dev environment. Is there a way to dockerize them locally and update them frequently as needed? Thanks 🙂 submitted by /u/hamzawey [link] [comments] X ITM […]
