I have t3 large server provided for k8s worker nodes. When cpu of 1500m added as request parameter, the pod wont spin up giving this error. NotTriggerScaleUp 9s (x9 over 2m40s) cluster-autoscaler pod didn’t trigger scale-up (it wouldn’t fit if a new node is added): 1 node(s) didn’t match node selector, 1 Insufficient cpu There are 6 worker nodes and limit is 8. I dont understand why a new node is spinup and allocation done. Why it simply fails saying wouldn’t fit if a new node added. Another interesting thing is that when I remove request it will fall back to some default request of 100 and is working fine. I cannot proceed with default because this is a resource intensive pod with running. submitted by /u/santhosh-v [link] [comments]
