Hi there, I’ve been trying to do the following but I am not sure if its possible with docker. Essentially I have two virtual ubuntu servers. One is running openvpn, and I’ve used it as a gateway for a few of my devices to route them through the openvpn. I had been using another ubuntu server to run a bunch of containers. Recently, I tried to point the ubuntu server gateway, to the opevpn ubuntu server. The containers operate in bridge mode and didnt run into any issues after the switch. From bashing into them they were using the openvpn ip which is what I wanted and were still accessible over lan. However, if I try to update the container it cannot pull the latest image from dockerhub. There are no error messages just hangs on pulling latest image. I have setup the dns server on the Ubuntu server with dockers to use the VPN one, not sure if something is being blocked. I have messed with the iptables on the vpn ubuntu server, to route forwarding traffic through the tunnel only. The one with containers is clean besides the items that dockers creates on setup, and ufw does not have any rules setup on either. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas to fix this? submitted by /u/jordan50 [link] [comments]
