I’ve been trying to figure out if you can ignore specific annotations with the kubectl diff command. Say I have a manifest `svc.yaml` containing a service definition. If there’s an operator that adds a label or annotation to the manifest once it’s in the cluster, I was wondering if when I run `kubectl diff -f svc.yaml` if I could specify I way to ignore those added annotations? I see there’s a flag called “–field-manager” but I’m not quite sure what that does even after reading the kubectl diff documentation If you can’t ignore specific labels or annotations through kubectl is there a k8s library that anyone uses to calculate diffs? submitted by /u/sradloff23 [link] [comments]
